I need advise about my filter setup

Bros... i have a 4ftx1.7ftx1.7ft tank, bare bottom with 2 live plants placed in a shot glass, with only 1 7" jar in it.. i do about 40%-50% water change once a week (every saturday)..

the filter im using is a JEBO 5 in 1 overhead filter, with a Q(flowrate)= 1600Liters/hour.. (pictures are attached below)

my question is, how often shall i clean the filter medias in the filter box? will i clean it all together (all the filer medias)?

i jst wanna give my jar a quality clean water, i lost 1 jar coz of this, now i dont wana make any room 4 mistakes.. need your advises bros....

you can wash the white pads in tank water any time they get dirty....this will not kill any bacteria on them.....leave the bio media alone....if it gets very dirty wash about a 1/3 of it in tank water each week until clean enough.

use tank water in a bucket from a water change since you will throw it out anyway......

every two weeks if you dont over feed....??

i feed my jar at least once a day.. so once in every 2 weeks? what happens if the wools are not change? but being cleaned with water though

i would wash them in tank water.....if they start to fall apart or are very hard to clean then replace them....\\

if they get very dirty the water wont flow thru them and the water wont be cleaned....

hmmm, i guess your right, i see now.. thanks alot bro!! ill change those this saturday, those are way too old wools..
