Ok, I have 6 pundamillia nyererei fry in a 10 gallon tank. I JUST got like 12 zebra obliqueden fry. They are both the same size, can i keep them together for a bit?? Until they are a little bigger to put into a bigger grow out tank, without the pundamillia?? PLEASE, I have the fry accclimating now, but i need somewhere to put them after. LOL

I would think it'd be ok...as long as there aren't any parents around

If you don't want to take chances though, u could just put the other fry in another empty tank or rubbermaid bin/tote

Yeah, no parents around. I got both sets of fry from trades. I thought about keeping them in a rubbermaid, but I dont have a spare heater, and its cold in canada now. LOL

Lol, I think they will be ok (together that is)

i am gonna find out soon enough. lol i got them in a trade. it was supposed to be for two big peacocks a german red and a "red" peacock, that looked AMAZING in the pic. I guess it jumped out of the bucket while I was on my way. So he gave me 12 fry instead. Worked out alright for me though.

Can you put in a glass divider.. thats what i did when i had fry of two different species.. just to be safe..

Unfortunately i dont, but I have been watching them and the two groups are not really paying much attention to each other. The zebras are jus nippin/chasing each other, like all fry do. Same with the pundamillia, hopefully they stay like this until tuesday. Thats when I can buy a divider or a heater for the other tank. But if theres no problems, I might keep em together until they get bigger. They are bothe from lake victoria, why cant they stay together forever?? Does anybody know if they can?? Where's the guy with the pundamillia and other haps, pantera something.
