I have a 20 gallon breeding tank for some apistos. And my 75 Gallon (the bichirs home) is going to be converted from an african tank to a south american tank (with some tweaks red-tail shark, and bichirs) But i need some Tank mated that will not nip at them. I have an ornate 5-6 inches, 4-4.5 inch palmas buettikoferi, and a senegalas 5-6 inches. As well as as 3 parrot cichlids and a pleco, (and going to add 4-6 apisto) I was thinking about some more apistos like 4 more or something like that, as well as 3-4 fire mouths, I haven't seriously considered it but angles. And i was going to let you guys suggest the rest. Anything will help. Thanks in Advance Dr.B:D

I have seen this problem But from the mouths on my polys not any time soon i'm inspecting them right now and i just saw the apistos in the store that i'm ordering not even the female will be able to fit in there mouths until about November/December somewhere in that range. My polys have very small mouths. I am just looking for stock adjustments such as South American wise that will not harm the bichirs some people have told me about green terrors and EBJD. But i was looking for more on this. I am looking for nothing that will exceed 12 inches if that. I want to have some medium like 3-4 (parrot cichlids) possibly 1 large (Severum) like i said POSSIBLY. and some smaller 3-4 inchers like the apistos.

I was thinking about this stock good or no? just brainstorming. 3 parrot cichlids, 4 polys (ornate, sen, palmas bue, del, and possibly another?(lower jaw of course). 3-4 fire mouth cichlids. 1 green terror, 2 apistogramma agasizii fire red, 2 apistogramma agasizii double red, and another species of apisto (Don't know yet). 2 red-tail sharks, 1 plecostomus. And possibly a super red severum. Like a i said this is just a BRAINSTORMING STOCK.

Remember brainstorming and yes. It's mainly to get the topic to brew something up.

Avoid the pleco, and im not sure about redtailed sharks, but a rainbow shark reduced two of my sens to one barbel each before I got rid of him. Just my experience.

The red-tail shark is allusive and the pleco is scared of anything that moves and touches it
