i just caught two crayfish today and they look kinda like this http://www.google.com/imgres?q=cray...8&tbnw=199&start=0&ndsp=16&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0 (lol long url) but yeah they look like that about 1 1/2 in. in wondering how fast they grow and if they change there color in time. while i was catching them i seen a crayfish that was red! nice red but he was dead so im just wondering if they do change color instead of that brown lol

That's a pretty common crayfish. Unfortunately, that's about the only color you will see in the wild. Occasionally you'll see a reddish brown one, but usually it's dead. Something chemical I'm sure. If you check your LFS, they're likely to carry colored crayfish. Electric blue, red, etc. I'm not sure where they come from, but I know it's not from a creek I've ever been to!
Make sure its not the rusty crayfish IDK about hawaii having the problem as they are in the mainland. Otherwise, they're not that hard to keep
