I just bought these cool red mangroves but they're from 100% salt and I would eventually like to be able to put them in a fresh water set up without killing them during the process. Does any MFKers have any experience with these plants? I don't want to drown them.

After a little reading it seems doable but doesnt always work...

I've read people say their plants lost all their leaves before re-sprouting new leaves a month later...

So i guess it depends which type you got and whether its getting enough light, since most sources seem to say they prefer a fair amount of light for a few hours a day...

Sadly i dont have more info, only that a while back there was a person on these boards keeping them in a brackish mud skipper tank...

Well u need to have ample amounts of nutrients (generally in the soil) to keep them alive and bright lights
