I have a newly ready to go 180g tank and my vendor that goes through my LFS has some really awesome stock right now all between 1.5"-2". My plan is to try something new. Whatever I decide im buying 5 small. All are the same price and shipping is the same. I just need to decide.
I will probably only keep two of the growouts but there is a minimuim purchase. Honestly I have a general idea of these but have never kept any. I would love input. Thank you

They have:
Nandopsis Haitensis
Herichthys Beani
Herichthys Bartoni
Excichlasoma Istlanum
Caquetaia Umbriferus

Keep the Beani and Istlanums. I believe both are Nandopsis, and probably grow out ok together. BUT, your alpha male will eventually own. I'd consider heavy cover to reduce deaths. Those little buggers are fierce, and Beani won't get bloat much till the 2.5" - 3" mark.

Good luck both are amazing. Just keep a pair or 1 male and 2/3 females as time goes on.
