I just bought 7 Cichlids. The previous owner told me that they were psu. demasoni's but I beg to differ.

I told him i'd pick them all up before hand. When I seen them I knew that they weren't demasoni's but I didn't want to say that I didn't want them so I stuck to my word and picked them up.

Here are some pics if anyone could help me.
Thanks.

is there a dead one in the second or third pic?

body shape isn't Dems, it looks like elongatus' def. In the pic it's not a dead one, if you look close in that pic the tail is covering the head of the fish and it just seems like it's upside down.

Here's a pic of the Pseudotropheus Elongatus, look familiar, pretty fish nonetheless:

Yeah, It's surely not stressed.
I had them for a month or two.
At first I thought they were because of the colors then that was how they really were.

and no the fish isn't dead.

Thanks for your inputs.
That what I was thinking also.
elongatus...

Anymore inputs?
Just to get a little more clarification.

I agree with psuedotropheus Elongatus, almost thought mabye socolofi but with those there isn't the stripes and they are powder blue also the shape of it fits for Elongatus, I hope you didn't pay a hefty price as Demonsanis are definitely more expensive!!

i agree with all, you did not buy what you were told... but they are nice looking cichlid's..

Thanks guys.
And I bought them for $5 each.
Not to bad. I think...

Here's mine:
