Im going to get monster tank of at least 400 gallons, and it will be stocked with fish like arrows, gars, large cats, rays, etc, and I want to include knifefish. I am trying to keep the tank strictly American, and so these are my current choices: Buffalo knife, Carapo Knife, Black ghost Knife, And if I can get my hands on an anaconda knife or e eel. Whats ure opinion. Also, im temted by cks but they aren't from the Americas (except in florida). Thanks.

I'd go with the classic BGK:)

Even though CKs are found in FL, they've been introduced and not a part of the natural eco system.

depending on the large cats you want i x3 the bgks the rays might also try to eat knives so watch it...

i'd wait until said tank appears....

I think an electric eel would be sweet, but it would seriously complicate your maintainability. That being, x4 BGK.

May need to watch the bgk with all those monster you plan on getting. The white on the tip of its tail may serve as a lure.

If you're wanting a social knife for your tank, the BGK has a great personality. My Royal Clown, Clown and Black African are much more anti-social than my BGK. They hide a lot more, while the BGK loves to swim and is very attractive.

Btw whats the average size on the black ghost? they sound great but im also really interested in the anaconda knife and carapo knife/ any info on these rare species. Also, any suggestions on other tankmates? So far i think my stock list will be:

1x bgk
1x silver arrow
2x monoculous
2x red belly pacus
1x tigrinus, marble pim, or maybe rtcxtsn hybrid:)
If room then 1x whatever the cheapest ray is i can find
1x pleco
