I need help IDing my catfish

I bought him from a pet store I frequently visit around my area. I was watching for about a month before I broke down and bought him. Downside is, I don't know what breed he exactly is. I'm fairly sure he's a pimelodella lastristriga from looking at the "planetcatfish" archive. but I did manage to snag some photos from feeding. He's about 8-10 inches.

I'm new to this whol fish keeping business. but I know the basics. but do you think you could tell how old he is?
