I need help on a question that involves a red devil

I have a red devil that is about 5 inches. I was wondering how long does it take for it to fully grow it is in a 55 galon with a canister filter and white
and black gravel. I feed him hikari gold cichlid pellets. What do you think

It will outgrow your 55g in about 1 year.

Yes, they can grow to full length in a year......maybe 18 months. The keep adding mass for a couple of years though.

The most important thing is water quality......... much more important that food.
