hello everyone , i have a 400gal(1600lts) fish tank with 5 pacu(16inch each) 1 aligator gar (25 inch),1 clarias 4 tinfoils and one jaguar catfish(15inch) . i found a tiny worm on the glass , it was thinner than a hair and like 3mm long . it was a bit transparent . i removed it and decided to clean up my fish tank by removing 80% water . but i noticed more . there was a lot near the filter . i went to the fish store to inquire , they told me its the ecosystem and that might happened with the biological filter . i dont know what to do ? any advice for me please .

Just keep cleaning. It shouldn't hurt anything, but some pics would help.

if you havent noticed any on your fish i wouldnt worry do a large water change and substantialy clean your gravel add some aqaurium salt and clean all walls with ur algea pads go through the filter well and repeat this proces a few times over the next few weeks and see how it works out...

Sounds like planaria, which are normally found in large amounts if you are over feeding. If this is the case, you need to step up your gravel cleaning and cut back the amount you feed

hello , thanks , just wanted to know if i dont get rid of all , will they cause trouble to my fish? thank you

:iagree:...I can't imagine 80% waters change you should have consulted here first at least before you did that.

what you mean by aquarium salt? will table salt do? can you tell me the amount per gallon , i have like 300 gal
