mmm I think my EBJD might have popeye!! he looks like  No but in all seriousness his colors have been very dark for the past couple of days and he hasn't been eating much. Tonight I noticed both of his eyes are sticking out a little too far and one is sticking out further than the other one. There is no discoloration but he is definitely not acting right. He is normally aggressive and has been running away from little tropicals he is currently with and me, normally he is the first one up to the tank when he sees me. I read some stuff on popeye but it was all contradictory and I wanted to see if I could a concensus. I already did a 25% water change tonight. About a half an hour before I noticed his eyes. Every other fish in the tank has been normal and seems fine. Does anyone know of the best ways to treat this or if that's even what it is. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures or not but they are the best ones I had out of about 30. Any help would be greatly appreciated

You never stated water parameters. Or how often you do your water changes. Numerous things could be affecting him. Tankmates, food, water quality, decorations. I would do a 50% waterchange and treat with Metronidazole. Make sure you remove the carbon from the filter when using;)
Also, I find I have fewer problems on tanks I don't use carbon at all. just 50%+ weekly water changes and do not overfeed. Everything seems to go great this way. With the EBJD being so expensive and delicate, you would definately want to do bigger water changes with prepared water.
