I need help with birthday present

Help!!! I need to find a nice salt water reel to go on a custom rod for my son's birthday. He is a beginner, so I don't want to spend alot of money on it. Does anyone have any suggestions on which would be the best brand or where they sell cheap cheap??? :22_yikes:

all Froogle does is merely link you to independent online sellers... some links are ebay links, but others are private sellers as well. You can look up virtually anything and find some excellent prices and dealers. Might as well call it Google Sales Search Engine.

I don't know anything at all about fishing equipment, unfortunately.

Try overstock.com ... you might find something nice for cheap over there.

Try a Bass Pro shop in your area.
Good reels for saltwater fishing are Penn. Those are the best hands down. I am sure they have one's for the beginner too.
