I need help with 2 tanks. I need recommendations for units.

Tank 1 is a 125 (1 brace) cichlid tank, I would like 2 36 inch lights. (white and actinic lighting)

Tank 2 is a 125 (2 braces) planted tank, I would like a 48inch and a 24 inch. (4 bulb)

For the lights I would like T-5 because they are cheap to replace. I would also like to keep the lights as cheap as possible, but some quality. I understand that a few dollars more can buy you a few more years of life. I am up for change with different types of lighting if yall stand by it.

I am looking at my lighting setup for a 4 foot tank. I want white light and the blue- actinic for the cichlids to look bright/ well coloured. I was thinking of getting 2 double ballast 4ft. Then using 2 white t5 tubes, 1 blue and maybe 1 red (I want red to watch my plecos).

What are the eBay package t5 lights like? Anyone bought them?

I like Nate Dogg, would like to hear opinions on decent lighting options, that last well and look good. I am hoping to keep costs down to a reasonable balance with quality.

i've read good things about Aquatic Life Dual-Lamp T5 HO, odyssea i've head good and bad (bad things are more resent), and aquatraders had some promising LED's. Like I said if yall like the leds and say there good I would be interested plus it saves money.

I have led and t5.my t5 from aquatraders was good price, seems good so far, maybe in use for 4 months now. My led is bright white modular units can be expanded....trulumen not sure of spelling, look great, but now on a 10gal. For trial.if I get my 125 then I would add more units chained together
