my clown is new to the tank. all he does is hide. he doesnt eat or anything. but that makes me wonder... are knife fish nocturnal. wen he is hiding is he hiding from the light.

how big is he? well thats the clown knife's nature,give him hiding places to make him feel secure..you can use PVC pipes..they dont really like light..I have my knives for 2 years and until now they still likes to hide

..an old pic is belowmy ck has been in a 14 gallon for about 3 days. today i descided to move him to my 60 gallon. the fish are swimming up to him but not biting him. will he be ok.
CK's are really strong fish, unless u have serious fin nippers like fully grown Piranhas or so, he'll be ok.
Mine (a 20" CK) nearly broke my arm yesterday while i was replanting the valisnerias on his hideout. he was just running away...but gosh what a strength...i never thought an aquarium freswater fish could have that strength.
