Alright, the sand I had in my tank when I first put my ray in seemed to be irritating his belly, so I switched it out for one that quite a few members have said they have used with little to no problems with. I think in the process tho I have freaked out my ray! His colouration is fairly pale and he is not breathing through his top gill vents. I put some food in the tank for him last night after the lights went off, but I am not sure if he ate the food or if someone else did. I tired to feed him this morning a little bit more but he is not being very active. I don't know if it was the old sand but I think he went through a skin peel. it didn't seem to bother him before the sand was changed out but now its all gone and i don't think it has anything to do with the way he is acting now. will he be alright?
