I need help

I just bought a lung fish yesterday, today i noticed he was swimming on top of the water. This isnt normal is it? why is he doing this? Also he is alone in a 29 gal. hes a south american lung and is about 2-3 inches.

they are air breathers so i am betting ithats what its doing as well as getting used to the new surroundings-Anne

thank you it was kind of freakin me out cause i thought they are mellow and lay on the bottom alot

he doesnt seem very interested in eating. how long does it usually take for them to adjust? and any other info on these fish would help alot. thanks

my 14 incher ate right out of the box, what are your water levels??

ummm theres only like 4" to the top

and he spends most of the day at the top, would it help if i added some tankmates?

when he says water levels he means ammonia nitrates etc and no dont add any tank mates mayb try some guppy fry or sometihng 2 c if he is only use d 2live fod

small SA lungs are a pain the bottom...take care he does not get sucked into the filters....
