I NEED HELP

I am not very good with computers and such but I wanted to share images of my stingrays but for some reason when I attempt to insert them (by clicking the little image of the picture within a box in the tool bar) it only posts a link. Am I doing something wrong or when I upload it will it post the picture? I currently have a mac computer but I don't think that's an issue.

under the reply box on the right click "go advance" then scroll down til you see "manage attachments" on the left side click that and go from there

I have tabs on top of the pop up window to select if I want to use a link or if I want to upload off my puter.
