I have a cichlid tank that i can not seem to get the Ammonia levels down and the Nitrate levels down. My PH is also low. We lost our Blue Phantom last night due to the levels being too high. It is a brand new tank it is 100 gallons, we have 11-12 cichlids/Peacocks, 6 Cory cats, an upside down catfish, chinese catfish, red tail shark, bumble cat fish, whiptale catfish, bristlenose. Please please please help me! I do not want to lose any more of my fish! Thank you :)!

You put way too many fish into a new tank! It works best to put a couple hardy species in a new tank until the beneficial bacteria can get established, then add a couple more. Best thing you can do is massive daily water changes...50% or more. Also, you can use seachem prime to help lock up your ammonia into a less harmful compound. Don't worry about your pH. Whatever your tap water is will be fine. If you start trying to mess with your pH you'll have even more problems. Most aquarium fish can adapt to any pH between 6 and 8.5 with no problem whatsoever. What they can't adapt to is constantly changing pH.

Check your water daily. Big water changes daily. Reduce your feedings. Remove some of your stock to another tank or give away to someone who can take care of them. What’s ur filtration, mech and biological?

Sorry to hear that! That is a big tank but you’ve put in a lot of fish and some of them are sensitive. How long has it been running? Sounds like new tank syndrome. The deaths may continue until the tank fully cycles, unfortunately. Can you try having the store hold your fish? I agree with the above suggestions of daily water changes. You can also put some pothos plants in to suck up ammonia and nitrates, have a light on it 24/7. Good luck!
