I have a 65g south american cichlid black water tank with only this one plant that my fish don't mess with and if they do it doesn't efect them not sure on the name but ill try to put pics up. I had water sprites but my earth eater keeps pull them up so I left them floating. I was hoping that they would grow big enough to be the back round of my tank but I'm having no luck does anyone have any ideas

Cichlids are very tough on plants (most plants)
here are a few you can add
crinum calamistratum (deep substrate)
crinum thaianum (Deep Substrate)
Anubias

how about eloedea or duckweed we are doing a project in school (8th) and we are using those plants the duckweed are little tiny plants that float up at the top of the tank I don't know. these are probably not good suggestions
eloedea - I wouldn't recommend this, if they are pulling up water-sprites then this stuff will get shreaded.
thanks for the suggestions. I already have duckweed in there and im not quite sure how it got there they just kinda multiplied. I'm gonna get a hold of some anubis and try those out
