Need some info for these 3 pikes
c. Lenticulata
c. Tapajos red
c. Lacustris
1) How big does each one grow?
2) How are their temperaments to other tankmates?
3) How active are they?
Just for clarification sake, there is no such thing as a
Cr. sp. "Tapajos Red". It would be either a
Cr. sp. "Tapajos I, Flame Pike or
Cr. sp. "tapajos II", Cobra Pike. This is important because the two fish have quite different personalities. The Flame Pikes are more shy and hide more. The Cobras are nasty tempered but are out and about more.
All grow to approx 14", give or take. The
lacustris are the nastiest followed by the
lenticulata. As mentioned above, if you have
sp. "Tapajos I" (Flame Pike) they will be less aggressive. If you have
sp. "Tapajos II" (Cobra Pike) they are equally as nasty as the
lenticulata.
Cobra pikes are fairly outgoing. My
lenticulata have their moments but can be shy. The
lacustris can be shy as well unless they are beating on someone... especially another pike. The Flame pikes can be very shy and hide a lot.
If you were going to place one in a tank with tankmates, the Flame is probably your best bet followed by the lents. With the Cobra and lacustris all bets are off...
