They can go weeks without eating. That being said it's going to probably wait until it dies before coming out. You are going to have to tear whatever its jammed itself into out. Otherwise it's going to die in there.

Jumping on the bandwagon of "do research before buying" you honestly should have done more research on monitor husbandry before buying a nile. Just because they are extremely "cheap" to purchase doesn't mean they are cheap to keep. One of the largest monitors available and one of the largest appetites to match. Not to mention the are one of the hardest species to calm down in captivity. Should have went with an Ackie monitor.
