I need MORE!!!

Hey, I am new to the forum, I posted this in the wrong section of the forum on accident, and I have a few questions for you all.
I have been offered a free 75g tank with "all the stuff". I don't know exactly what "stuff" includes, but hey, its FREE!!! I have a veil-tail oscar with hole in head and he needs a bigger home, so I would want him to be in the tank. I dont have too much experience with "monster" fish, but I used to have a few odd fish, the weirdest was a marbled goby. I am a big fan of catfish and other bottom dwelling monsters, so I need some help with ideas. But, I am thinking that if I get the tank, I might paint the back, and pissibly get one of those backgrounds that you put on yourself. If you could help me out with a stocking list, it would be great!

oh, and I have a 20 gallon thats free, for feeders, so I can have big fish that eat big feeder fish

Feeder fish are bad. Don't feed them to your pets. I suggest treating the oscar in the 20 for hole in the head before putting him in the 75. Do a water change every 3 days to speed up the curing time. For a catfish I recommend a 4 line pim or a sun catfish.

why are feeders bad? ive fed convicts to my oscar occasionally and he loved them.
I actually am treating him in a twenty right now, haha. he doesnt like the small space. I have thought about catching a native smallmouth bass as a tank mate for him too. would he get along with a great big pleco? and I do like suncats. they are pretty cool. any other reccommendations? thanks!!!

Feeders can carry diseases. What size is your oscar?

Yes, fish love feeders, the same way little kids love candy.

Feeder goldfish have very little nutritional value, and they can carry diseases, and I think they're high in fat, too. It's best to feed pellet food specifically designed for carnivorous cichlids.

He is about maybe...9-10 inches long. I very rarely fed him feeder golds, mainly my convicts I bred for a while. I feed him Hikari carnivore pellets. he likes them a lot. what else could I do feeding wise, and stocking wise?
