My ray has, what look like, chew marks around her edges. Has anyone experienced this before? I lost a ray 5 days ago to the same thing.Could it be the live worms I gave her? they appeared very quickly and i am worried about losing another ray. If anyone can help i would rally appreciate it or if you could point me in the right direction. Thanks again
Melissa

How long have you had the rays?
Were the disc edges otherwise perfect?
How big are they?
Any other tankmates?
How many are there?
What are the tank parameters (ammonia, pH, nitrite, nitrate)
What species?
Pictures will really help.
It could be a bacterial infection, it could be aggression from another tankmate, it could be mating damage from the process.

We have a 300 gallon community tank(arrowanas, discus, giapari(sp?)couple others. we have had them since they were pups, fed them black worms till about 6-9 months old? The edges were perfect well, as they are supposed to be. She is about 10 inches across and otherwise fine. Last week the same situation occured and i lost my male. i am getting to the pics.....

Agree with tank125. The sooner you can get on it the better. I didn't catch mine that soon and is taking a long time to heal while others that caught it quicker are having better results
