I have a few reptiles in which I want to make them nice, and possible permanent for life homes/enclosures.

Right now here are the current set ups:

Yellow Niger Uro- Tiled 50 gallon breeder (we used substrate, but I've noticed he's more active with tile) I would however like to maybe do a half/half with tile and substrate. He's about 12" now, so he's got some growing yet. I'm thinking a 75 would suffice once he's full grown, but I could be wrong. I have however, thought of just ordering an already made tank from boa master for him.

2 yellow throated plateds M/F- These guys are currently in a 30 long and it's being shared with a sudan bottegoi at 9". The female is burrowed most of the time, and they are very skiddish. I try not to handle them very much because they may end up hurting themselves in the process. I am thinking of more of a vertical tank as they love to climb. I was thinking if possible about taking a 40 breeder, and setting it up vertically, and somehow adding a screen door or something on the front. I plan on using bark on the back, with some fake plants, and a nice substrate. Give them something a little more natural.

Plated Bottegoi 9"- This guy is going to take some time to grow, and he will more than likely not get much bigger as he was kept in a snake rack for the first year of his life. He suffers from MBD, but he's making a great recovery. I was advised to not make any enclosure in which he could climb because of the potential of him falling and breaking something since his bones are not strong like they should be.. so I was thinking that the 30 gallon long would suffice for him for a little bit longer.. but I was thinking of upgrading to the 50 breeder since I know he will grow a little bit more, but not much. Was thinking of using corrugated piping along the back of the tank, and make it look like a rock background. The piping would be hidden though.

Plated Bottegoi 16"- I just acquired this guy, and he LOVES to climb. He's only content unless he's sitting on my head! I want to make an enclosure in which he can climb. How I would go about that, I do not know.. I am thinking about buying a ferret cage, and converting that into a reptile enclosure. It would have levels for him to climb and chill, and the bottom can still be a nice substrate.

Any ideas? Suggestions? Pics?

now im not saying buy one from them . But they got some great designs and with alittle thinking u could diy pretty easy. Just remember people throw out patio slider doors all the time on craigslist.
this is the one i have this is what it loked like when i picked it up

i ended up puting fish in the bottom of it and a brown basalik lizard up top . with it haveing a deep end and shallow side u could have a basking area and a swimming area.

I was thinking I could make something small with an Anderson sliding window I have extra for my house.

just make a scaled down version of one of ther esetups. Did u check the website. they got some cool stuff.

Yeah, I checked out the site... it's pretty awesome.

I've actually been thinking about just buying a large ferret cage, and converting that for my large plated. It would have the tiers so he can climb and be higher up until I can get something all fancy for him.

I however, can't really find where anyone has done this. lol.

Why not take like a 75 gal tank. Set up the bottom to be half land half water. And buy a ferrit cage thats same size and make a way to atch it to the top of the 75?

a 75 gallon tank is too small, and I don't need a reservoir for water. He gets a water dish, and he get a weekly swim in the bath tub.

Ok, so for my plated right now, I got a steal on a 125 with stand, so I will be using that until I can figure out what the next step is I wanna take.

make a toper that same deminsions as the tank. use drift wood and atach it to the toper and u can have the climbing space needed

Alright, so I'm picking up a 125 with stand Sunday for the lizard.

However, there is someone who's more than likely needing a home for his male Red Uro..

So, what i was thinking, is get a glass divider for the 125, and keep a uro on each side. I might even do plexi with ventilation holes/slits.

That would them clear the 50 breeder my uro is in now. I was thinking that I could use that for my plated (large) and add a screened in top are with shelves and such for climbing.

That would also clear up for 40 breeder my large guy is in, and I can move the small plateds over from their 30.

I'm seriously thinking about buying my large plated lizard a cat tree.. is this weird? He loves being up super high, and he will just chill for hours.
