I need some advice on new setup coming soon

Hey guys kind of a new to the hobby but definitely committed...small pockets but a big heart...I'm looking to buy a rather large tank to house my silver aro.i was thinking 265-300g. I was wondering if someone could let me know what are some good filters. I read up on a couple online I was hoping someone with experience could recommend a brand/model. Canister,hang over, sponge, etc? Also how does a sump work?

if you go with a 300, * which i would do * i would go with a 75 gallon sump.

Yea I am deff. considering it ...how does the sump work I never seen one myself does someone install it for you...are they complicated?

Sumps require overflows. Overflows can either be hang on or drilled into your tank. You can DIY a sump which can save you a buck.
