I just bought an orinoco male 12 inches and still i dont seen him eating

Thanks sir Bryantt. I add some ketapang leaves to my tank just to add some lumic acid as in the wild.. do you think will it help?

I'm not sure about that, but driftwood will help. Also soft sand for them to bury themselves in. Couple people I know even add black water to make it feel like water from the amazon. So yeah.

thanks again. i might add some sand is it really not good for them silica sand?
would be a fine gravel would do?

Not sure about silica sand, but make sure gravel doesn't have rough edges because it would scratch the bottom of the ray. Bare bottom is fine as well. And for food, they love earthworm/night crawlers.

how long have you had him and what are you feeding?

I tried feeding him with earthworms, market prawn and mullosk but he dont even mind, he is housed with a 15inch female motoro and with an 20 inches banjar aro on a 320 gallons tank.

some rays i have and have had began eating the first time in my tanks or pond and some have taken about a week to get used to the new setting. keep up with the earthworms and if available try blackworms. i wouldnt worry just yet. got any pix?

How long have you had it? I know sometimes bumping up the temperature helps. Good luck.
