i need some help on getting a pair

can you tell a difference in sex with juvenile convicts or do you just have to go with 4 or 5 and when they grow when they court then you know your pair or what?

females have orange on the sides and the males will have longer fins

Males will not always have longer fins. The best way is to look for color on the belly, those are most likely females.

Females will have orange on their stomach. I've also noticed (with mine) that males will have more red on their fins and females will have more yellow.
