I wanna take a 300 gallon rubber maid have it either on my screened in deck or garage the problem is neither are heated and I live in nj so it kind of gets cold what can I use besides a bunch of tank heaters to keep it from freezing. Im just going to raise cray fish in there so idk if that makes it easier or not. and ideas on filtration would also be very appreciated thanks

you could always build a box for the pond out of wood for pretty cheap, and insulate the daylights out of it. in the winter months, keeping a tarp or heavy plastic over 90% of the pond, leaving only a little open for air exchange, would more than likely keep temp up with 1 or 2 normal aquarium heaters.

a painted or stained wood box looks nicer than a black rubber pond anyway IMO.
