I need some honest opinions

I'm a musician and people say they like my music etc etc...but said people are my friends and family so there's likely some bias there. Now, as a musician, I'm always looking for ways I can improve my music.

So if you don't mind, I've got a myspace with a few songs on it
here and I'd really appreciate some feedback.

its ok. you mix it together yourself? its a bit bitty in places and id change the frequency on bits, but you just gotta go over everything with a fine tooth comb and make sure everything you want is in it, then just get all the levels right, and make sure it all comes together smoothly

Hey Owen,

I am in now way a proffesional in this kind of stuff, but I like to listen to music and give my opinion about it. I do it all the time with my house mate who studies music.

Desmognathus:

I like your voice. All instruments played and that recorded isn't it? Most of the music isn't done with the computer. Good stuff. Maybe a few more practise because sometime I tend to hear some missed notes/timing is a bit off. Nice build up during the song. Maybe a re master with a bit more acoustic?

The morning:

False guitar? Sounds like it the few first hits (@ 4-15 sec). Love the beat that comes in at 1:44. At 2:00 the song/playback skips. I do not like the phone rigging sound at the background. Articulating when speaking a bit more can make you be better understood. Or are you working with a audio filter? It may has to do with the acoustic guitar wich I find a little bit to loud.
Why not make the beat of the 1:44 come back in the background when the audience comes in? The song maybe a little to long.

Speed Kills SP cover:

I can't hear what your saying (could be due to me). Turning down the electro beat could probably solve this problem. This recording also skips a few times. Spacy song. Could do with a acoustic guitar im my opion. Because I can't understand what you say this song kinda bored me. It could be that you intended it like this and only wanted to transfer the feeling.

Favourite: The morning. Love the overall feel of the song. Different from most other songs I've ever heard. Like the beat at 1:44. I think this song has potetial.

The first song has the best vocals. I can almost clearly hear it. Also compliments the feel of the song.

Overall, good work! Love to hear more of this, love music off the mainstream. Keep it up.
