I just bought a three inch peacock bass, that is currently in a 10 gallon tank all by himself. I was wondering how big a tank will i need for just one peacock bass? Once it gets to about 5 inches can i add him to a 40 gallon with a 7 inch clown knife in it?

a 40 will work when he's 5"

but..a single pea will need at least 180-200 gallons..they get big..fast

you should have waited until you had the correct tank to house a peacock bass in..IMO

yah.... damn shoulda bought a bigger tank :(

It's not too late though. And be very weary of that knife in there with himwith such small space. Could cause a battle in a matter of a couple days or a little longer, and even worse it is possible that knife will eat that pbass soon.

Sorry just read that it is not with the knife yet. Even though, a 40 gallon with a knife and a pbass is gonna be trouble. That knife grows fast just like the pbass, so I assume when the pbass gets 5"...the knife will bw pushing 10".
