I really miss the clown knife I had, and I want to get another one in the near future, but I need to know what size tank I would need in order to house 1 comfortably. Keep in mind that even though I do have quite a bit of space left, I don't have too much, so please don't answer with "the bigger the better" That "better" is just going to have to wait till I move.

Anyways, minimum tank size for a happy, healthy CK, that he or she can grow into, so I can keep my eyes peeled....and footprint would be preferred, since there's a gallonage calculator on this forum....somewhere lol

Location options are my bedroom, where if I removed a tank or two, I MIGHT be able to squeeze in a 100 (which is too small if I remember correctly) or my office, where I might be able to squeeze in a 5 MAYBE 6 foot tank.

Or (with copious amounts of begging) maybe the livingroom, and even then, a 5-6 foot tank will be the longest I could bribe into there.

What about depth, while I'm at it, is 2 feet deep enough? Should I just go for a 5x3x2?

Anyways, I'm babbling, so if someone could please give me some accurate numbers to mull over, I'd be appreciative!!

Thanks in advance!

well, the clown knife will be 24" in 2 years or less, so you'll need more than a 24" depth. The 5x3x2 would serve you for a very long time. Maybe 4 years?

What would I ultimately need to upgrade to after that? Say, we move later this year, and I want to go the full tanksize for life....what would I be at?

Thanks for the quick response!! ^^

alrighty then!! ^^

So a 5x3x2 is good for a few years, until I move, then an 8x3x2 is good after that...got it!!

Thanks!!
