Well if you read my thread in the Diseases and Health board you will know that all five of my Giant Danios have dropped like flies in the last two days. All my other fish are fine, and my water params are perfect.

Anyway, as you may know I have a 40 Breeder with a 6" BGK, a 6-7" Macrognathus aral eel, and a 2" Severum in it. I had the danios in there. I am probably going to go fish shopping Sunday, and I am contemplating what to get. Getting another school of fish would be alright, but I kind of want to use the opportunity to get another cichlid to put in the tank. So, again I am in need of some suggestions from some of you guys/girls.

:grinno:

I would go for a few dwarf cichlids, but with your eel... maybe some angelfish?

Do you have a bigger tank ready for the current inhabitants when they outgrow the 40?

That's what I'd be putting my money towards.
The only fish that will outgrow the tank is the BGK, and that won't be for quite some time.

Thanks for your concern.

Well, from a lot of years of experience - the severum is going to outgrow the tank at around 3 or 4 years of age or be stunted. It's not a big deal, and as an owner it's your decision.

Congo tetra look rather dull in the fish store - but once you get them well acclimated at home they look absolutely beautiful. One of my favorite target fish.
