Im getting ready for my newest member to my family. My first arowana. I would like to know wht i should now or do once i get this beast. i donemy homework on them and every thing. So tell me about your experiences and things i should know as a noobie to arowanas.

I'm no expert in raising aros, there is some guys and girls here that raise some gorgeous aros.
You'll find people raising silvers (like me), blacks, asians, jars, leis and african too.
But, be advised, make sure your tank had an lid and, depending on the aro size, a good weight on it. like said by ar0wan, a rock works.
i agree with having a weighted lid. i've had about 3 of my aros jump out of my tanks and lost 2 out of the 3 that way are you picking up a silver or jardini? what size are you thinking of picking up? good luck man.
Good luck with it. I have found mine to quickly have become one of my favorites. Clean water, plenty of space and varied diet. And just in case no one mentioned it, keep a lid on it.
