Hi guys, I need your help to id my black tilapia that I keep in my aquarium for about 6-8 month. It is a wild caught specimen. I got from fishing, using worms as a bait. And now it is DEAD. I don't know what its problem. But I have check its body and don't found any kinds of sickness sign or diseases. I might dead 15-20 minutes ago.

Nobody notice it, everybody are sleeping (so do I) and its raining outside. My last feeding its about 12.00 a.m. Hm...really LOVE this fish.. Here it is, sorry for the low resolution picture...

Sorry guys for the low resolution picture, snapped it using cheap one. I have searched at FishBase.com and it is exactly like mine. It is a male with large snout, entirely black colour to the body, yellow eye, Fin and tail has red edges. The non breeding / inaggressive male and female have greyish green in colour. In breeding mode, its colour is fully black with red edges on tail, gill and fins. It is probably a Wami Tilapia (Oreochromis Hornorum).

Based on the colour variety, body shape and its behaviour, it is not a Mozambique or Nile Tilapia. This specimen is very aggresive to other fish even the female tilapia. It will chase and bite the fish. This behaviour is likely closest to O. Hornorum specimen.

Anyway, this is my re-assumption based on my experience while keeping it 6-8 month ago. Any ideas, guys? Any cichlid doctor can explain this?

Saratherodon mossambicus (it's an African Riverine cichlid that's been introduced, probably as a food fish...or escaped from a fish farm).

The orange / red variety used to be a common aquarium fish.
