I know, I know. Ones of "those" threads. MFK has helped me out sooo many times I know you guys can too even if some hate these threads.:D:D:grinno::grinno:

I have a 125 and I really don't know what to use it as. It had fish in it a few months back, but I have plenty of smaller tanks to start that up again. It's a standard 125.

Few requirements:
1. Can't be super expensive otherwise I'd get a FRT and the thread could be closed.:grinno:
2. We (GF and I) will be moving out March 31 as that is when our lease is up. Possibly to Iowa, if not then by winter tops(in Ohio now). So the tank and animal will have to be maneagable to move. 9 hour drive.
3. I don't want a beardie. Everyone and their baby's momma owns one. I like them to look at but just not for me. Also no snakes of any sort! The GF had a bad experience with a loose kingsnake in her favorite hamster's cage.
4. It can be anything. A reptile would be cool or frog, herp. Idk, just want suggestions guys.
5. The tank can hold water so any type of animal that can use water or a sectioned off part of water is fine.
6. Can be upgradeable, either tank or custom enclosure, but remember we will be moving by next winter tops.

I think that's it. I'm just at a lost on what to get. If it was with fish, I have so many ideas but I don't want fish atm not big fish at least. It wouldn't be setup until after September, at the parents in storage while we move into the Apt. Thanks for anything.:D:D:D

72 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 23 3/8. :D

That is about the same size tank I have my mata mata in currently. Most turtles would do well. Also maybe some uromastyx or blue tongue skinks? You could do a colony of anole sp. or Draco lizards (aka flying lizards). those would be very neat and are not that expensive.

What about dart frogs? A tank that size would make an awesome set up. You would be able to do so many things. YOu could have some awesome plants.

+1, although not the cheapest to set up a whole colony of dart frogs.

I do like the idea of a colony of smaller reptiles or amphibians. It would be really neat to get to watch the social interactions that occur, rather than just keeping a single or pair of animals.

you can try miniature monitors like ackies, or it can be a grow out for a sav or tegu......these lizards grow very attach to the owner, but ackies in my opinion are sometimes very skittish... also you can probably get away with placing fake or real plants above the bottom of the tank and fill it with water and some land like 2 feet, and have anoles, with fish.
