so i just had a couple plants in my tank, a sword, some java ferns and this unknown grass plant that i got. i don't really care about the java or the grass but my sword looked sweet before i killed it.

one of my fish was showing some ick like symptoms to i salt treated the whole tank, my plants started to not look so good so i took them out, rinsed them off, and put them in an empty tank by a window with a fluorescent light on 24. they don't look any worse but they don't look any better ether, the leaves have become very thin and some are almost transparent, but they are for the most part still green-ish.

so i'm wondering if anyone has an suggestions for me that could help out my plants? is there anything i need to put in the water, or do i just need to wait.

I'm just gonna throw this out there being that I'm not really knowledgable on this stuff yet but are you giving the plants in the empty tank any nutrients (i.e. ferts). An empty tank with just water in it won't provide a whole lot to your plants.

I found my swords to be heavy root feeders. If I didn't put tabs around them they would not do as well.
