So I finally pulled the trigger and purchased the male shorty body red isletas from rapps today. Its the most money I've spent on a single fish next to a jardini I spent $125 7 years ago. He arrives tomar morning. I moved fish around so the male and female are alone. This will be my first time breeding since my jags years ago when I was in college.

Good luck. Though these guys are a smaller Amph. these males can be nasty. With that said, my male couldnt be a better mate for my little female. They are an amazing pair.
You should enjoy these a great deal. My male is awesome. He greets me every day by coming to the top of the tank and he sticks his hump out of the water and lets me pet it. LOL Its like it has turned into a daily ritual, and I think he looks forward to it. :)
