Hello, Guys I picked up a free tank from a freind of my dad's he kept it in the basement for like 2 years and when he gave it to me it had become a nest for mice. I am soaking it in clorox in about how much do you think it would be disenfected. Filters and everything?

Thanks.

no clorox.....just soak it with warm water and vinger.

that can't be good. clorox is evil.

Not a big deal, just empty it fill with water/scrub it (no soap) rinse really good with a hose. refill with viniger/water mix let it sit for a day. scrape, rinse really good and you should be ready to go.

Ok. But it's already in clorox ??????

Thanks for the responses.

well, wash out the tank REALLY good with warm water and clean the silicone in the tank really good as well....make sure all the clorox is out, then clean with warm water and vinger.

Ive used oxy clean to clean reptile tanks..Just needs alot of rinsing.Clorox too.All you have to do with the clorox is rinse it out and leave it out in the sun for a day or two.The dried urine from lizards will poison fish,so however you clean it make sure its really clean!

If you can let it sit out in the sun for a day or two, it will neutralize the chlorox.
