Hi, I haven't posted on this site in quite a while. In this time, my 55 gallon tank got an ammonia spike so i decided to reduce my stock significantly and basically restart my tank. I gave most of my fish to the lfs except for my oscar that died after i returned from a 4 day vacation (his developed fungus on his eyes and eventually they deteriorated even with the anti-fungal treatment). I left only my two sun catfish. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a 1 1/2 inch jack dempsey. Right now my water parameters are perfect. My ph is 7. My ammonia is 0. And my nitrites are 0. My fish are doing great. I wanted to ask if my tank will be over-stocked when the fish reach their adult sizes. If it won't, could I possibly add a convict to the tank or would it be too much?

-Thanks

I'd just stick with the three fish you have. It will make sure your tank doesn't get overstocked and keep the water nice and clean

Thanks for your input

Also how fast is the growth rate on a jack dempsey?
