So i guess it was trying to fly but landed in my friend's pool i scooped it up and took it home the poor thing has a broken leg ): does anyone know what i could feed it? It's an older chick.

yah worms and crickets, iono if it is still at the stage where the mom or dad still feeds it, so you can try contacting a rescue center that deals with birds or wild animalls.
Poor thing. That used to happen at my mom's old house off and on all the time. Never had a rescue that was injured though. Usually in my experience they would just dry off and fly away.
