They had found it stuck in one of those sticky mouse traps at their work and didn't know what it was or what to do with it, they got most of the trap off and had done so by soaking it in salad dressing. I removed the remaining bit of trap off it's head, and washed off the dressing immediatly.
It still has some sticky crap stuck under it's chin but im thinking it will just come off with the next shed, he's completly healthy looking, nice fat plump tail.
I offered to take it off their hands and health it back up.
Now it's in a 15 gallon, which i think is ok for now, he's about 5"
I have used paper towel on the bottom made a bunch of hiding spots for him out of large paper tube cut in half, and put in two large shallow water dishes.
He drank steadily for about 10 minutes as soon as I put him in.
I put in 3 crickets for him, i'm thinking im going to hold off on electrolyte supplement unless i'm sure he's not eating.
He's got a nice night-glo bulb in that i left in overnight to keep him warm.
Im going to get an undertank heater for him tommorow.
I'm very happy with the little guy although it's super stressful making sure he's ok.
If anyone has anything they think i should change please let me know, i want this guy to live a long happy life.![]()
They need a moist hide box.Like a small empty butter containr with a hole in the top and damp moss, vermicule. Also no need for a top light. They are nocturnal and do not benefit from any specia; bulbs.Other than that everything else is great
