I scored a sweet CL deal.....

I just thought I'd share with all of you..... Last night I picked up about 130 pounds of cured fiji Live Rock from a guy on Craigs List. He is millitary and just needs to sell his stuff so they can move. He also threw in 5 gallons of salt, all the test kits, this calcium stuff for reef (even though I'm not doing a reef right now), a brand new peguin powerhead, and the 130 pounds of LR for $250!!!!!!!!!

I was pretty excited. and the rock is beautiful. all sorts of shapes and sizes. Very cool.

I'll post some pics once I get it set up. I'm waiting to finish up my sump which will be done in a week or so.

Quick question.......I put the LR in two tubs with saltwater a power head and a heater.......it will be in there about 1 -2 weeks. Does it need light?

if their is coraline on the rocks and you want to keep it alive, i would put a light on the tub,

other than that everything should be good

Is coraline the kinda pink/purple stuff? Cause there is some of that on some of the rock. And is that good for a FOWLR tank?

that's coraline, its good for any tank, it will cover anything including the glass,


you need to supplement your tank with calcium to keep it growing

how big's your tank? i wouldn't do supps in a small tank as it's WAY too easy to overdose. also alot of it will be replaced with WC's.

my tank is 100 gallon. I never planned on putting supps in the tank. I thought they were only need for corels. What is WC's?
