well I have a ten gal tank set up temporarily. I had a pictus die the other day from fin rot but I thought he was sick from day one so that doesnt bother me much cause atleast I tried to help him instead of returning him. and my other pictus was acting kind of strane I suspected the worst so I isolated him after a day in his new tank hes doing better I suspect the issue is the pH in the drift wood tank which the plecos and the raphy cats seem to enjoy given that they tolerate lower pH because they live in such close proximity to drift wood in the wild. lesson learned I need to by a pH meter

I felt the necessity to share this what pH do you keep you tanks at?

I heard that near 7 is fine to avoid creating swings but I clean in small amounts daily to avoid the big swings.
