Hi All,

Unfortunately my 75 developed a crack on the bottom left hand corner.

I had 3 Juvenile Rotkeils in there. They are approx 2 inches. I then put them in my 65 with my Nicaraguan Cichlids and my Lord are those Nics aggressive.

They would not leave them alone for a minute and tool chunks out of their fine.

So I had to set up an old 15 (approx 60 litres) and took some media from an established filter so it was instantly cycled.

I now have 3 Juvenile Severums in a 15g. Won't be able to get a new tank for at least 6 months.

Will they be ok in there for that period or should I try and re-home them?

Thanks guys.PXL_20220429_201816913.MP.jpg

You can "sometimes" six a crack, by getting a piece of glass larger than th crack area, and glue it over the area.
The stress crack above was about 12", a pane of glass was glued over the area, and the tank is still running over 5 years later.
You need to remove old silicone in the area, and snuggly fit the new pane in, and re-silicone.
.

If you can't repair the tank and are looking at an extended wait for a new one you might consider getting a large tote and keeping them in there while you wait for a replacement tank

Thanks for the info, that's something I'll definitely look into. Save me a pretty penny

Another great idea. I can pick them up cheap enough as well. I'll look at repairing my tank first and of not that will be my next option. Thanks for that idea.
