I have found out a little more info regarding what is referred to as ST. As I’ve written already they used to be common in the Chayphoaya river basin in Thailand and are now 100% extinct. I was looking no further than Thailand due to the name, Siam Tiger.
I spoke to a gentleman in the aquarium industry yesterday, it appears they are still to be found in the Makong River and basin in Cambodia, however they are rare there.
I have read there is a slight difference in head shape, but I don’t know about that. I have also seen fish from Cambodia being referred to as Cambodian Tigers, or CTs.
I apologize for any misleading information I may have written. I am still waiting to see someone form the Department of Fisheries here, but I may have to wait a while. Things are a bit mental here at the moment.
Cheers

Stay safe! I've been keeping up on the drama there since I have friends and family there.

If it is true, then at least there are still ST in the wild :D

this is what i class as CT almost the same as ST but a few differances

body shape different
color different
stripes are slightly ruff
tail stripes different

I think there just as nice as ST. Sort of indo body shape, in that pic T1.

i had a tank full of them but when i got the chance to replace them with ST i did

they have more fork and broken bars the color is strong but the lines are not smooth like ST

and the tail stripes have a like half moon on the bottom you can just see it in the picture

that picture was the best CT i had from 8

I would still take a CT if they were around :) Thanks for the update Classic chassis. That explains the guy with the fisherman selling the ones he caught acouple months ago.

Good info, keep us posted.

Its awesome they found some, but its best to just let them be :)
