I stripped my masoni peacock yesterday. I thought the fry would be ready. When I started, the first 4 eggs fell out of her mouth. I then stopped stripping her. I know she is holding more. I am not going to bother tumbling the 4 eggs that fell out. But will she continue to hold the remaining eggs or will she eat them because she lost a few? She still isn't eating. So does that mean that she is still holding. If she is will the remaining eggs be ok?

Yes, just let her hold the fry until you she spits them out if you don't plan on tumbling the eggs. Transfer her to her own tank and wait until shes spits them out if you want the fry to survive. They will be okay. Don't worry. ;) Do you have any more questions?

I have 2 tanks for her to be possibly placed into. One is a 29g hex tank that has 11 3/4 inch yellow lab fry and the other being a red cherry shrimp breeder tank that is a 20L. Which tank would be best for her to get placed into? And how much longer should I wait to try stripping her again or should I not mess with her again?

I don't know, if you put her 29, and she releases the fry, there are chances of the yellow labs killing the fry. With the shrimp, I think there is a chance that she will eat the shrimp after releasing the fry. Females go nuts for food after their holding period. I don't think either is a good place, unless you had something like or similar this to put her in and hang her on the side of the tank until she spits the fry out. How long has she been holding? I usually strip my fish in 3 weeks to make sure the fry will survive and that the females survives.
