I could not get my EBJD producing pair to breed. My male was being a jerk and bullying everyone in the tank. I took him out of the 125 gallon where he was with 3 females and another male and put him into a 30 gallon. I wanted to settle him down and then reintroduce him back into the 125 gallon. Well, i wanted to see what would happen if i put one of the females in the small 30 gallon with him and just a clay pot. I picked the dominate female and put her in there. I turned the lights off and came back about an hour later. I turned the hall light on and glanced in the room and my male is jet black!! He only turns this way when he is about to breed. I think I am going to have alot of eggs coming very shortly and alot of EBJDs! Pics soon to come hopefully

Very cool. Putting the pair together without distraction is always the best way to go.

They are all over each other right now. Im feeding them really good, I am doing a water change tomorrow and then leaving for the weekend. Hopefully when i get back ill have some eggs!

yep they breed today! I have noticed that this technique works very good, from my experience and other posts i have read!
