I took out the eggcrate that was seperating my jags today. I think they like each other. They have been inseperable. they have dug out the corner where she had laid eggs and I put in a nice flat rock. The only thing is he hates my tinfoil barbs I think I may need to move them. he hit one so hard he knocked it into the center bar at the top of the tank.

Here are a cpl of savage quality pix.

I have a jag and a loiselli which seemed to have paired off, they chase others away together and sleep in the same rock, but it has been a month or two since they have paired off, and still no sign of eggs. What is fine, what do you think could induce them to spawn?

You have nice jags, sorry just wanted to ask you how you did it.

First thanks for the compliment.

Its kind of a long story but here's the readers digest version.

The female was in the tank prior to the male with a big RD. I moved the RD to another tank, did a huge water change and she laid eggs. I then found the male at my Fav LFS (just lucky) and brought him home. Seperated them with eggcrate for a week and a half. another huge water change and took the eggcrate out. Now my plan is copious amounts of fresh/frozen foods and weekly huge water changes until i see eggs then I will block them off from the rest of the tank and see what happens. If I dont remove all other tank mates before that. BTW huge water changes are approx 70 gals in a 90 gal tank.

Yes, nice pair indeed!

nice pair!!! it won't take them long. how big are they ? they look huge in the pics.

The male is approx 9-10 inches the female is about 8-9 inches.
