I just drove 100 miles to buy a couple baby blue gene jack dempseys. When I saw them, she claimed some of the babies were electric blues, but none of them looked like it. They all were around 2" long, and no blue to be seen other than spangling. She said it was because they were stressed and lost their color. she says the ones her son kept are definately ebjd. I asked het to send me pics. She says she paid 300 for the breeding pair of bgjd. The pair were beautiful but looked really small for jack dempseys. I bought the fish anyways just in case, paid 10 each. What do you guys think? Oh, this woman didn't know much about fish. She looked amazed when I showed my pic of my ebjd. I think she got scammed originally and doesn't realize it.

Me ebjd I had at that size showed very little blue.

i currently have three EBJD and only one really has color. theyre all under 2" and two dont have much color. just a grayish black look and a little bit of the electric blue.

the third one however is BANGING. colors really nice, hes my pride and joy, not to mention he was born without is right fin, so this guy is definately a little badass.

good luck with yours, EBJD really are some of nthe coolest fish.

you might have but she got more scammed than you, she paid $300 for a pair of fish?..
